IT’s time to LovE how you look in the picture
One-size-fits-all is one way to look at wedding photography. There are traditional poses that I have seen over and over. They get the job done but is that what we are going for? Or do we reach for more?
The very best photography requires complete, shared confidence between the photographer and the Bride and Groom. If my client isn’t confident we are using a good pose for them or finding their best angle, it shows in their eyes, and suddenly the picture will lose its sparkle. I have felt that way before having my own picture taken: those feelings of disappointment and sometimes even anxiety are the very worst feelings.
I love it that in our culture we are finally seeing women and men of all shapes, heights, and sizes as beautiful. It makes me smile, because I knew it all along. It is my privilege and passion to make every Bride and Groom and wedding party photogenic—looking as beautiful as they feel in the wedding day pictures. My photography is the opposite of a one-size-fits-all. I want to open up all the possibilities: to be flexible, creative, and find perfect, flattering angles that bring the sparkle into the eyes of my Brides and Grooms. I reach higher, for pictures that don’t require caveats to enjoy, but pictures that are embraced as a couple’s sweet memories of the day they felt and looked their very best.
